Martha Mclain Lightsey

Martha McLain Lightsey, 98, of Bryan (Robertson County), passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 10 am until the time of service at 11 am, Monday, November 22, 2021 at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center. Interment will follow in Rest Ever Memorial Park. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Martha was born on February 22, 1923 to BB and Joanna Baugh McLain in Madison County. Martha and husband M.H. Lightsey spent their years together ranching in Robertson and Brazos County. Martha’s family was her greatest joy. She loved spending time cooking for her family, shopping, traveling and her church.

Preceding her in death are her husband, M.H. Lightsey; her parents, BB and Joanna McLain; her daughter-in-law, Kay G. Lightsey; her three brothers and four sisters.

Martha is survived by her children, Billy M. and wife, Merrilu Lightsey, Gary Lightsey, Gayle and husband Ray Patranella, and Kay E. Lightsey; her six adored grandchildren, and eight-teen great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
