Accompanied by a golden effervescence and an unworldly placidity, Heaven’s Angels warmly guided Marty Little home last Sunday evening, November 20, 2022. Her immediate family had the honor of standing beside her as she nobly left this world and transcended into paradise. They marveled at how bravely she fought the great beast, commonly called cancer. Her tenacity was great to the very end, but it was her faith that was never-ending.
Marty was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on February 24, 1948. She met her loving and adoring husband at the tender age of thirteen. By their first year in high school the two soulmates were dating, and their unique love story continued until her last breath on earth. To attempt to enumerate all her accomplishments, talents, and adorable idiosyncrasies would be a futile effort. This is not because there were too few, but on the contrary. There were too many.
It seems a bit too simple to quickly summarize Marty as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and friend. Perhaps, however, complexity is best reserved for the ordinary; and ordinary Marty Little was not. Simply put, she was extraordinary!
Marty’s extraordinary life will be honored Monday, November 28, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church of Bryan. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with services promptly following at 11:00 AM. The interment will immediately proceed at the Aggie Field of Honor and Memorial Cemetery.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, John Charles Curry and Marguerite Twilley Curry; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dallas “Jack” Nevil Little and Bernice “Bebe” Sellers Little; and her great-niece, Lillian Grace Curry.
Marty is survived by her husband, Dallas Neville Little; her son, Dallas Curry Little and his wife, Alexia Donohue Little, and their son, Dallas Theo Little; her daughter, Martha Rebecca Little and her devoted dog, Otis; her brother John Charles Curry Jr. and his wife, Grace Lynn Curry, and their two children, John Charles Curry III and Twilley Curry Delligatti; her sister-in-law, Nancy Little Huerkamp and her husband, Erwin George Huerkamp Jr., and their three children, Erwin Scott Huerkamp, Matthew Nevil Huerkamp, and Todd Christian Huerkamp; and many cousins, nephew-in-laws, niece-in-laws, and great nephews and nieces, all of whom loved and adored her extraordinarily.
