Marion Myers, 75, of Navasota passed away on May 27, 2021 in Bryan, Texas.
Born on July 8, 1945 in, Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Clarence Anderson and Gladys Russell Anderson. She married Pat Myers, in 1988 and he survives. Together, they shared many years of memories.
Marion attend Millard Fillmore School of Nursing in Buffalo, New York. Marion was a registered nurse and a graduate of University of Texas at Tyler in 1988. Marion spent many years working as a nurse in the specialty of home health. One of her greatest accomplishments in her nursing career was helping to establish the home health division of the UT Hospital in Tyler. She worked as a nurse until her retirement in 2010.
Marion was an avid reader, loved traveling, meeting new people, and great conversations.
Surviving are her husband Pat, son Shane Myers and his wife Kathy of Navasota, grandson, Ethan Crawford and his wife Lisa of Winston, Oregon, granddaughter, Michelle Traniser and her husband Jake and great-grandchildren Tiffany and Elizabeth of Nacogdoches, Texas. Also survived by many friends and colleagues.
Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers with a service to follow at 11:00 with Rev. Michael Hafer officiating.
Interment will be in the Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, TX 77039.
