Mable Ward Hare, 96, went to be with her Lord and loved ones on October 31, 2024, after a long battle with dementia. Mable was born on December 23, 1927 to Edgar and Ether George in Thornton, Texas.
Mable was a long-time faithful member of Northview Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was a sponsor for Summer Church Camp. She loved her church family with her whole heart and they returned that love. Mable will be missed by everyone a great deal, but our loss is Heaven’s gain.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tommy Ward, husband Bill Hare, daughter, Ellen Mason, brother-in-law, Billy Courtney, nephew Brad Courtney and her best friend, Margie Hare.
She is survived by sons, Mitchell Ward and wife Becky, Eddie Hare and wife, Judy, Virgle Hare and wife, Vicki, John Hare and wife, Shelley, Michael Hare and wife Cindy; daughters, Kimberly Watson and husband Kenneth, Georgia Bosworth and husband, Ted. She is survived by sisters, Pat Perry and husband Coy and Ester Courtney. She also is survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She will be buried in the Bryan City Cemetery.
