Luke Ruffino II, 47, lifetime resident of Bryan, Texas, passed away Saturday February 24, 2024 with family at his side. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at 9am Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin immediately after the visitation at 11am, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Centers.
Born on December 23, 1976, to J.J. and Cherry Ruffino, Luke was a lifetime resident of Bryan, Texas. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1995. Growing up Luke was a natural athlete playing multiple sports. Throughout his adult life he always enjoyed being out on the golf course with his buddies and telling a good story. He also showed his competitive spirit playing pool, darts, and dominoes. He was an avid fan of Texas A&M sports, especially football.
Luke loved water sports especially skiing, and his fondest memories growing up were with his Aunt Roro at the lake. He held a special place in his heart for Camp Creek and all of the memories made there especially early mornings on the boat with his Momma.
Luke was known for serving customers through hospitality and events. There’s no doubt that if you were his friend, then you were his friend forever.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luke and Josephine Lampo Ruffino, Gene and Thelma Brown; and uncle, Ricky Ray Brown.
Survivors include Luke’s Love, Amy Landry; his daughters, Madilyn Paige Ruffino and Isabella “Bella” Marie Ruffino; brother, Joey Ruffino; sister, Antoinette “Toni” Ruffino; his loving parents, J.J. and Cherry Ruffino; aunts, Theresa Ruffino Connaughton, Rosemary Ruffino, Carolyn Ponzio; uncle, Larry Brown and wife Louise; and numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, beloved friends and Godchildren.
Serving as Pallbearers are Jack McGregor, Josh Watson, John Harvey Slocum, Joey Ruffino, Shawn Ponzio, and Patrick Connoughton.
