Lenoris Taylor, 84, of Caldwell, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, in Hearne. Visitation will begin at 5 to 7 pm, Friday, December 18, 2020, with his Life Celebration Service at 11 am, Saturday, December 19, 2020, both at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center, followed by Military Honors. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
LeNoris Taylor was born on February 15, 1936 to Clarence and Julia Green Taylor, in Burleson County. LeNoris, confessed his life to Christ at an early age. He united with Jerusalem Baptist Church in Brewer Hill, Burleson County. He later united with Mt. Vernon under the leadership of James E. Williams. While at Mt. Vernon, LeNoris was the superintendent and sabbath teacher. He also, served where he was needed.
LeNoris served in the United States Army.
His parents Clarence and Julia; his sons Kerry Taylor and Roderick Keith Taylor; his brothers, Elijah Taylor, Edward Taylor, Clarence Taylor Jr., and Malvin Taylor; his sister, Elois Taylor, and granddaughter NaQuisha Taylor all precede LeNoris in death.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Taylor; his daughters, Robin Sherian Smith, Corliss Thomas, and LaKetha Thompson; Carolyn’s children, Kevin and JoAnne Mitchell, and Sherica Mitchell; sister-in-law, Donna Taylor; his brother, Herbert Taylor; his ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild to be born. Along, with a host of other family and friends.
