Just as a golden hued sunset fills a sky with its brilliant rays, then sets beyond the horizon, Kaylin Maire Hartmann’s bright life drew to a close October 23, 2024. Kaylin was only in a rush once in her life, that was the day she was born, September 10, 2009. It ensured she’d see her daddy before he left on deployment. She was late ever since then. But her smile was always spot on both in deliverance and how often it was given. She bloomed in a way no one could see coming, from a cute and cuddly, but more quiet than not, bundle of joy. To transform into the bright, hilarious, sarcastic, dancing spitfire we eventually knew her to be. She knew how to make others at ease with who they were. She was becoming very adept at understanding that people’s opinions said more about them than it did about her. She taught us how to have fun and leave worry about how it looked behind. She had grown into an assurance of self, often hard to find, especially so young. She knew how to love. Fiercely. And this was her final gift to us all, to give love unto others.
She is survived by her father, William J. Hartmann and wife Gabriela Hartmann, mother, Crystal Hartmann and husband Lorne Theiss, and the siblings who will love her forever, Carson Hartmann, Madalyn Hartmann, Laurel Hartmann, Adaline Hartmann, Gannon Hartmann, Callie and Ben Freeman, Cavan Theiss, Alison and Adam Harris, Breely Theiss, Hunter Theiss, Adaline Theiss, Gabriela Irastorza and Carlos Irastorza. Kaylin had the blessing of numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will cherish her forever and always.
