Joy Stalbaum Schulz

Joy Schulz was born to Ed and Norma Stalbaum on April 5, 1935, in Bellville Texas. She was a student in the Bellville schools and graduated in 1953. Joy married Robert Schulz on May 22, 1955. They moved to Hempstead Texas where they raised their three daughters. Joy was the Business Manager for the Hempstead School District and retired in 1995. She was an avid reader, enjoyed volunteer work for Hospice Brazos Valley and watching her grandchildren in their many sports activities.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert, her parents and her sister, Doris and Hank Holtkamp. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda and Donn Norton, Sharon and Darrell Loukanis and Shirley and Donnie Richards, grandchildren Robert Allen Hartman (Caitlin Quinn), Craig James Hartman (Mika Miller), Darrell Jacob and Amber Loukanis, Shannon Renee Loukanis (Bryce Whigham) and Reba Richards (Chris Crnkovic).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.

Service will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4221 Boonville, Bryan Texas.
