Joseph A. Marshall, was born October 6, 1957.
Joe was the 11th child to Eddie Lue and Annie Mae (Long) Marshall. Joe, as he was affectionally known as to many in the area, was a longtime resident of Welborn, TX.
Joe attended A&M Consolidated High School where he was an exceptional student. He participated in several extra circular activities, joined the football team and ran track. His classmates often felt he was the “strongest student in the school”.
Joe enlisted in the U.S. Navy in March 1977. He became an aviation machinist for the T-2C Buckeye aircraft. Over the years, Joe had many careers. Joe spent a number of years working at Texas A&M, where he ended his career and retired early.
Joe enjoyed drawing and painting and playing his guitar. He was an Aggie’s super fan and he also enjoyed watching professional sports. Joe also had a generous soul, and he was willing to give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He always was in good spirits and could start up a conversation with anyone who he encountered. Joe was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, sibling, cousin and friend. Most importantly he loved God.
Joe married Sharon in August 2012, and they lived peacefully together until he passed away on February 25, 2024.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: (Charles, Eddie, Rufus (Sunny), Ancie, Annie Ruth, Corene, James (Bowink).
