Jose Roman Robles

June 16, 1954 — May 13, 2023

Jose Roman Robles, 68 from Navasota, Texas passed away at CHI St Joseph hospital in Bryan, Texas on May 13, 2023. He was born on June 16, 1954 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to Nereida Roman Rivera and Rafael Robles. He was raised by his Mom and Stepfather Felix Santiago Rivera in Puerto Rico. He suffered a long road of pain from Type 2 Diabetes that led to neuropathy and he also was diagnosed with Large B Cell lymphoma. He went through chemotherapy and radiation to even receiving a nephrostomy tube in his kidney to help him stay alive to be with his family, especially after our Mom just passed in January. He never gave up for any of us and always lived to provide and protect his family at all costs. The battle was lost as he became bed bound and was swelling so large in his stomach from the cancer growing to where his body gave out. He was a delivery man, insurance salesman, carpenter, Sub Floors floor installer for Turner Pierce & Fultz, dairy farmer, salsa dancer, night stocker, Protective Father, More Protective Grandfather, Husband, Best Friend, and our Hero. He also ventured to New York where he had two sons Jimmy and Joey. Unfortunately Joey was adopted young at birth due to his Mother’s parents wishes and we have no idea where he may be or if he has a new name. This saddened him so much to not be a part of either of his son’s lives under personal circumstances and disagreements. Moving on in his life, he decided to move to Texas with his “life-long brother,” (Kenneth Morerro), where he attended a disco club and met his wife Veronica Debbra Kowis Robles. He enjoyed dancing, joking around, playing dominoes, working in the garage, playing the guiro with his hair brush, spending time with loved ones, being a wonderful Grandfather, woodworker, handyman, and being our protector, and giving brutally honest advice. He was truly one of a kind that would do anything for anyone and would lay down his life for his family or his close friends and will be forever loved and missed, but never forgotten!

He is survived by his son, Jimmy Corey, and his Grandsons: Angel, Jimmy, Jaden, and Jordan Corey.

His son, Juan (Johnny) Jose Robles, son’s wife Niquita Sargent Robles, and his granddaughters: Makayla Ariana Robles and Makenzie Autum Rose Sargent (Robles)

His daughter, Vivian Robles and Granddaughter Desiree Angelica Robles

He has living siblings Nancy Rivera, Ruth (TaTa)Rivera, Richard Rivera, and Sonia Rivera along with nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews

He is preceded in death by his loving Wife, Veronica Debbra Kowis Robles, Mother, Nereida Roman Rivera, Stepfather, Felix Santiago Rivera, Birth Father, Rafael Robles, and Brother, Ricardo Rivera.
