The patriarch of our family, husband, father of eight, and grandfather, great grandfather, Jose’ Leal, 78, of College Station, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, in College Station. Graveside service will begin at 10 am, Saturday, April 3, 2021, in Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Jose’ was born in San Luis Potosi Mexico to Tomas and Inez (Sanchez) Leal on March 26, 1943. He left school at an early age, as most boys did his age, to help the family by working. Coming to Texas, our dad, showed us the importance and value of working honestly and hard to provide for the family. Jose retired from Wal-Mart, a few years ago. He married the love his life Domitila de La Torre, in 1969 and have shared many treasured moments as husband and wife.
Surviving Jose’ are his wife, of 52 years, Domitila Leal; his children, Norma Anderson, Joe Leal, Alma Leal, Ruben and wife Pati Leal, Julie and Chris Garcia, Josh Leal, Ester Leal, and Angelica and husband Claud Johnson; grandchildren Sonya, Judah, Levi, Jessica, Vanessa, Christopher Jr., Amber, Aaron, Mark, Luke, Kyle and wife Sierra; his great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Sutton, Isaiah, Steven, Malachi, and Becca; and close family and friends.
Honoring the life of Jose’ as pallbearers are Kyle Anderson, Isaiah Anderson, Steven Anderson, Malachi Anderson, Luke Leal, Claud Johnson, Ruben Leal, Joe Leal, Judah Leal, Mark Leal, and Christopher Garcia.
