Northlake

Jonalee (Joni) Strilich Noto of Northlake, Texas passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025 in Dallas, Texas at Faith Presbyterian Hospice. Joni was born on October 12, 1951 in Pueblo, Colorado to John and Mary Belle Strilich. Joni is survived by her sister Rosemary and children Aaron Noto (Ashley), Monica Studzinski (Sean), Adam Noto (Julia) and Angela, and their father, Vincent Noto. She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren Lauren, Cameron, Kendell, Lyla, Brynn, Hudson, Sean and Taylor.

Joni was also a proud aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

From a young age, Joni showed a love for using her hands to create. She taught her self sewing and crocheting, which allowed her to sew clothes for her children. In her later years, Joni crocheted beautiful blankets for friends and family. Joni always had a desire for travel, which complimented her for life as an Air Force spouse taking her to Maine, California, Texas, and Virginia. Her understanding of military life and the sacrifices that families make inspired her to volunteer her time with the USO.

Joni devoted time each year to spend with her high school girlfriends for their annual trip and slumber parties. But what Joni valued most was being a mom to her children and a Nana to her grandchildren. She was always on the sideline of their sporting events or in the audience for their performances and enjoyed endless family game nights.

We know that she will greatly miss meeting up with her Bunco group, Friday night dinner with friends, participating with her neighborhood committee, and playing Words with Friends with her sister. Finally, she always made time to snuggle with her cats.

Joni has made the decision to support medical research by donating her body to the Texas A&M College of Medicine. With this decision, she hoped to support advancements in medical/cancer research.

We will be celebrating Joni’s life on Saturday, March 29th. If you would like additional information, please contact one of her children. If you are unable to attend, please celebrate her at a distance. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local humane society or pet rescue, the USO, a cancer organization close to your heart, or Faith Presbyterian Hospice of Dallas.
