Joe L. Sandoval, 68, of Bryan, passed away on Thursday, April 11th, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3001 S College Ave Bryan, TX 77801. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The Good Shepherd Chapel, 600 South Coulter Drive, Bryan, TX 77803. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2801 Old Kurten Rd Bryan, TX 77803.

Joe was born on September 20th, 1955 to Andrew and Jessie (Rosas) Sandoval in Rogers, TX. He grew up in Caldwell, TX where he was one of five children. He attended Caldwell High School where he played Basketball and Football and where he was known as “Golden Toe Joe.”

He began his career at Alenco (later known as Plygem/ Cornerstone Building Brands) in August of 1975. He performed countless duties and held many positions up until December of 2023 when his illness prevented him from returning eight months shy of his 49th work anniversary. Joe also dedicated 30 years to Enercon as a part-time employee. His work ethic was driven by his commitment to provide for his family.
Joe met Sandra in 1975 and exchanged vows on March 31st, 1979. He was promoted to “Dad” in 1980 at the birth of his first and only son, Michael. Again in 1985 when he welcomed his first daughter Amy, and finally in 1997, at the birth of his youngest daughter Amber. Joe was then promoted from “Dad” to “Paw Paw” in 2002, with the birth of his first grandchild. By 2021, Joe would have ten grandchildren. In addition to Dad and Paw Paw, he was also known to many local boys as “Coach Joe”, from when he coached little league until the early 90’s.

His dedication to his career did not keep him from attending every single birthday party, award ceremony, band concert or basketball game. Where his family was, he was. When not at work or at home watching his favorite shows, you could find him at the local Kroger, where he would scan the weekly sales brochure for the best coupons, buy his family a round of Starbucks, and fill the basket with his grandkids’ most favorite cookies and treats.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Sandoval Sr., and Jessie Sandoval, brother Pete Sandoval and sister Delores Sandoval. Both siblings passed shortly after birth.

Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Munoz Sandoval; son, Michael Sandoval and wife Nayelli, grandchildren Aden, Glori, Natasha, Mila and Joseph Sandoval; daughter, Amy Sandoval and grandchildren, Alesia Orta, Olivia, Zoe, Roy Amos and Andrew Rodriguez; and daughter, Amber Sandoval.

He also leaves behind his brother, Andrew Sandoval Jr., and sisters Julia Pecos and husband Nick, Beatrice Hernandez and husband Joe, Rita Burkhalter and husband Jim; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Anthony and Angie Munoz, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, coworkers, friends and his beloved pets Lilo, Stitch, Spock and Binx.

Special thanks to Olga and Enhabit Home Health and Hospice, who showed Joe the utmost compassion and provided support and comfort to his family in his final days.
