Jimmy Don Richards

Jimmy Don Richards was born in Madison County, Texas to Lucile and Alvin Richards, on December 19, 1945. He passed away at his home in Bryan, Texas on October 10, 2022.

Jimmy served his country in the United States Army stationed in Mannheim, Germany. While in the army he worked in communications. Upon his arrival back to the states he worked as an Electrician for the City of Bryan and for the City of Houston Police Department in maintenance. Ending his career back in the BCS area performing maintenance with several Property Management Companies.

Jimmy loved going on ocean bay fishing trips with his family and friends. He also had a passion for gardening and cooking. Jimmy was always busy with different interests including mechanics, collecting antiques and multiple other pastimes. He also loved spending time with his many great grandchildren.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents Lucile (Neeley) and Alvin Richards. Brothers and sisters James Richards, David Richards, Michael Richards, Dorothy Smith, Joyce Rodgers, Ann Petroski, and Debbie Leshe.

He is survived by daughter: Tina Richards and Brian Carey of Bryan, TX, son: William “Bo” Richards and his wife Christina of Bryan, Tx.  Brothers: Herbert Richards & wife Donna; Kenny Richards & wife Mildred; and Tommy Richards, all of Bryan, TX.  Sisters: Betty Willieford of Pocahontas, IL, Brenda Stone and husband Bobby of Wheelock, TX and Shirley Almanza and Husband Ace of Bryan, TX; Grandchildren: Candice Richards and Fiancé Chris Carson of College Station, TX, Amber Sexton of Bryan, TX; Cory Richards of Oklahoma City, OK; Holly Richards and Fiancé Jeff Curtis of College Station, TX; Joshua Richards and wife Lacey of Deanville, TX; Brittany Richards of Bryan, TX; 11 Great grandchildren consisting of 2 girls, 9 boys.

Private Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00am at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, TX
