Irene Josephine Markowski

Irene Josephine Markowski, 66, of Bryan, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 11am, with the Life Memorial Service at 12:30pm, Sunday, August 21, 2022, both at Callaway-Jones Funeral Centers, 3001 South College Avenue, Bryan. Cremation Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Irene was born in Bryan, Texas to Edmond S. and Evelyn J. Markowski, on July 30, 1956. She was one of five children born to this wonderful family. Irene had a passion for being able to love, love her family, especially her only son Austin, for cooking, family events, the love of music (The Beatles), love of art. Rene was most at home when the holidays came around as she wanted to share her secret receipts by cooking amazing foods for family and friends. She was one who lived the definition of loving one another as she treated all equally from family to her beloved customers over the years. She lived the love of Jesus in her heart with all she embraced.

Her father, Edmond Markowski; her brother, Stevie Markowski, all precede her in death.

She is survived by her son, Austin, of Round Rock; her mother, Evelyn Josephine Markowski; her siblings, Reggie and wife Beverly Markowski, Barbie and husband Andy Springer; Denise and husband Jeff Mais; her numerous nephews and nieces.
