Inell Partin

July 9, 1955 — October 4, 2024

Inell Thielemann Partin was born July 9, 1955 to Elton and Evelyn Rosenbaum Thielemann in Brenham, Texas. She graduated from Brenham High School with the “Greatest class there will ever be! Senior class of ‘73” and then attended Blinn College. Inell married Dr. Charles David Partin on August 1, 1987 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham.

Her greatest joy in life has always been her family, and she truly loved when they could all be together. Throughout her life, she volunteered as much as possible with PTO, church activities – ECW, Alter Guild, Bell Choir, the Brazos Church Pantry where she served on the board of directors for many years. She was also active with Boy Scouts and served as a Girl Scout leader for both daughters. That’s a lot of cookies! She was an avid reader and loved quilting, she taught quilting classes at many shops in the area, and also at Community Education classes in Brenham, TAMU, and Caldwell, Texas. If there was any spare time she enjoyed working in her yard, always trying to keep color changing with the seasons. Upon her retirement from a 35-year career with the Antique Rose Emporium, she was generously gifted with naming rights to a new rose that was being developed. She named the beautiful pink rose ‘Always Hope’ as that was her mantra through the long years of her cancer journey that began in 2009. The rose was introduced into commerce in October 2021.

Inell peacefully passed away at home in the early morning of October 4, 2024 surrounded by her husband and children. She is remembered by her husband David; children – Kate Elizabeth Souquette and husband Chris; Charles ‘Chip’ Elton Partin and Sasha Kitto; Mary Evelyn Hendrix and husband Jason; grandchildren – Ava Elizabeth Souquette, Alli Noelle Souquette, Aria Lisette Souquette, Mason Charles Hendrix, and Quinn Madison Hendrix; sister, Lanette Pledger; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Julie and Nick Roccaforte, Diane and Gary Giuffre, Patty Vandever, Renee and Fred Lauckner; 38 nieces and nephews, and 40 great nieces and great nephews!  She was also godmother to Emily Pledger Moran, Sarah Jones and Susannah Jones Smith.

Inell is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Norville Thielemann; parents-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Partin; sister-in-law and her husband, Denise and Jim Novakoski; and brother-in-law, Joseph Partin.

Romans 15:13 “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
