Holly Ann Field

December 28, 1959 — March 19, 2025

College Station

Holly Ann Field (Jones) passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her husband, Larry, on March 19, 2025, in College Station. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life fully embraced. Holly had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impact, and her passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew her.

Born on December 28, 1959 in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, to Charles Clifton and JoAnn Jones, Holly moved to Bryan, TX, at the age of five. There, at just 13, she met Larry, beginning a lifelong love story for the books. When she was just 14, he promised to marry her one day, giving her a small ring to prove it. They wed on an icy January day in 1978 and built a beautiful life together, raising four children and settling back in College Station in 1987. Holly often said Larry was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Holly began nursing school when her firstborn, Angela, was just four weeks old. She continued her studies in Houston after welcoming her second child, Christopher, eventually earning her RN and embarking on a long, rewarding career as a respected nurse. Specializing in the care of pregnant women, new mothers, and newborns, Holly became a trusted source of wisdom and support. Over the years, countless women turned to her in those early days of motherhood, and she cherished the opportunity to help mother and baby find their way together.

Holly’s greatest joy was her family. She adored her four children and was never too busy for a call or visit. As a grandmother, known as Grandmommy or MomMom, she embodied love, patience, and warmth. Her seven grandchildren knew her arms were always open and visited them frequently for her cherished hugs.

A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Holly believed relationships were life’s greatest gift. She brought encouragement, humor, and unwavering support to all who knew her. Her life was defined by generosity, a listening heart, and boundless love.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry Field; her children, Angela Field, Christopher Field and wife Stacey, Cameron Field, and Joanna Field; her grandchildren, Cade and Jaxon Pivonka, Famous Azumah Field, and Micah, Beckett, Lincoln, & Theodore Field; her mother and stepfather, JoAnn and Jim Murphy; and her stepbrother, Greg Murphy and wife Cori. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Clifton Jones, and her brother, Curtis Jones.

A celebration of Holly’s life will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 28, at A&M United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles Clifton Jones Endowed Scholarship at Texas A&M University at http://give.am/CharlesCliftonJonesEndowedScholarship or by mailing a check to the A&M Foundation with the scholarship name in the memo line.

Though she is no longer with us, Holly’s impact remains. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and a life beautifully lived.
