Garrett Louis Ponzio 26, of Bryan, TX, departed this world and was called home to be with Jesus on January 17, 2025.
Garrett was born to Randy and Kim Ponzio in Bryan, Texas. As a little boy, Garrett always seemed so much older than he was. We used to say he had an old soul. Garrett was a loving little boy with so much imagination. He loved taking things apart and rebuilding them and still did as an adult. He loved all things outdoors and some of his favorite times were going fishing on the Brazos River with his dad and brother. They started going when they were just in diapers and to this day, he still loved it. He would take Shelby and Ava out to the Brazos, and they would swim and fish and then hunt at night. Garrett also grew up loving to hunt. Over the years Garrett would train dogs to hunt hogs. One of his favorite dogs and friend was “Wrangler”. He loved that dog and took him everywhere. And then he had “Lady Bug” which was a family favorite of his, Shelby, and Ava. Garrett loved just being outdoors. If you caught him on the couch watching TV, he had to be sick.
Garrett was full of life. He loved his family and most importantly he loved and adored his baby girl, Ava. She was the light of his life. They were two peas in a pod and when the two of them were in a room together, no one else existed. Garrett had someone special in his life that he loved dearly and that was Ava’s momma, Shelby. We are all so thankful for Shelby and the unconditional love she had for him.
