Frances Trimm Broaddus

Frances Trimm Broaddus, 76, of Caldwell, Texas, was called home by her Lord and Savior on December 23, 2021.

Frances Jane Trimm, was born June 20, 1945 to Nettie Frances Brand Trimm and Oliver Hopson Trimm in Praco, Alabama.

Frances and her family later moved to Caldwell and graduated Class of 1963 from Caldwell High School. She loved her classmates and kept in touch with many friends up to the day she went to be with the Lord. They were all so very special to her.

She married Larry Lina, in 1965 and had two daughters, Michelle Lynn and Paula Renee. Much of her time revolved around her girls and the family business. She was an amazing selfless mother and a “second mom” to her daughters’ friends. She spent most of her days shuffling kids from practices to sporting events to dance and piano recitals. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure.

When Frances turned 40, she start her career. She joined the Office of the Attorney General as a Child Support Officer. She loved her co-workers and relished in helping children.

Frances was deeply faithful and followed her heart and became a practicing Catholic. Her Catholic faith meant so much to her. She was always the calm in the storm due to her faith in God and His Plan. Her favorite saying was “Give it to God, and Go to Bed”. Her faith was unshakeable even in the darkest days.

In 2006, Frances married William “Billy” Broaddus and they began their semi retirement years. They enjoyed traveling, A&M Football games, spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Frances was a true warrior. She always had a smile and a kind word no matter her personal circumstances. Even battling lung cancer, she put on a brave face and celebrated the small victories along the way. She fought cancer hard with dignity and grace. Her sense of humor was always present. She loved deeply and was loved by so many. Family and Friends who became Family were Frances’s most priceless treasures.

Frances was a huge animal lover. She always allowed her daughters to bring home stray dogs through out the years. Dogs were a very important part of her life and was an amazing dog mom. Her last dog, Ginger, was her pride and joy. She often supported to local animal shelters.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Nettie and Oliver Trimm, brother, Ellis Trimm; husband Larry Lina; daughter, Michelle Lina Schroeder and husband William “Billy” Broaddus.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Paula Lina; grandson, Tyler Schroeder and wife Catherine; granddaughter Abby Schroeder and son in law Tony Schroeder; Step daughter Sandy Malone and husband Joel; step grandchildren Jennifer Fisher and husband Mike; Michael Malone and wife Loretta, Ashlee Felder and husband Mark; step great grandchildren, Cade, Grace, Cole and Caroline Fisher; Eliana and Owen Felder; Julia, Claire, Audrey and James Malone; Family friend and caregiver Carrie Scitern; husband Buddy, sons Cameron and Carson and wife Shelbi.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lung Cancer Society or any local animal shelter in her honor.
