Flora Mae Gray

Heaven gained another Angel, Flora Mae Gray, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 2, 2021, in Bryan, Texas.

Mom was born in Henderson, North Carolina on August 3, 1932, to Gurley L. Shipman and Florence Allen Shipman. She married Ray H. Gray on July 3, 1955, they were married for 57 years, and they raised their two daughters in Houston, Texas. Flora and Ray moved to Bryan, Texas in 1989.

Mom was an avid reader and was happiest volunteering, painting, gardening, sewing, or baking goodies for family and friends. She loved her family and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her daughters Cindy (Dee) Strickland of Bryan, TX, Linda Gray of College Station, TX, sister Marion (Nick) Nickerson of Homosassa, FL, brothers and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Flora was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sister in-laws, Robert (Pauline) Shipman, Hebert Shipman, Arthur (Diane) Shipman, many aunts, uncles, niece, and nephew.
