Esther Lynne Sustaita

December 15, 1971 — August 6, 2022

Esther Lynne Sustaita, loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt left this world at the age of 50 on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Visitation will begin at 9am on Monday, August 15, 2022, with a 10am Life Celebration Service at the Callaway Jones Funeral Center. Inurnment will follow immediately at Rest Ever Memorial Park Cemetery.

Esther was born on December 15, 1971, in Bryan, Texas to Andrew Sustaita Sr. and Mary Louise (Atkinson) Sustaita. As a child she loved swimming competitively, studying vocabulary, and attending youth group activities. After graduating Bryan High School, she enrolled and attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas. She loved both the Texas Longhorns and her Fightin’ Texas Aggies.

Esther was the owner of Sweet Repeat Resale in downtown Bryan, where you would often find her chatting with her customers. There were countless loyal patrons that would stop by just to chat. Esther had an eye for style, and it was always on display at both her store and her wardrobe.

Esther had been a long-time member of the Central Baptist Church in Bryan, most recently as a member of The Lighthouse and the Word of Life Ministries. She had a great faith in the Lord and was always ready to discuss her faith with anyone at any time.

Esther was a light that would immediately remove the darkness in any room she entered. Everyone she met was a friend and those she chatted with would be lifted by what she had to say. She was encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting to all she spoke with. One always felt better after talking to Esther.

Esther has always been a very beautiful and giving soul. She would give anyone who asked, the shirt off her back. Even after passing, Esther saved four lives as an organ donor. Esther’s wish for others is to know that they are loved, they are valued, and they deserve a life on this earth.

Esther is survived by her daughter Skyler Vaughn, her mother Mary Louise Sustaita, her partner Jimmy Holliday and his daughters (Chelsie, Courtney, and Cyleigh), her sister Mary (Vickie) Ortiz and husband Ernest Ortiz Sr., sister Teri Johnson and husband Dale Johnson, brother Andrew Sustaita Jr. and wife Amy Sustaita, brother David Sustaita and partner Michelle Gonzales, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she loved all so very much.
