Ella Louise Colvin

April 1, 1939 — August 31, 2020

Louise Colvin, 81, of College Station, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, in Bryan. A memorial service honoring the life of Louise will be held at a future date. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan – College Station.

Louise was born on April 1, 1939, in Uvalde, Texas to Lee Ross and Vera Lee Lowrance Ross. She and her brother Lewis were the only two children born to their parents. Louise was a natural caregiver from early on; her desire to help others was her passion. She served as a LVN just less than ten years. She and her husband Bill Colvin married in Las Vegas on October 15, 1970. They together would begin their own business in Uvalde as the original owners of the “Bottle ‘N Bag” Liquor Store, until they retired five years ago. Louise wanted her children, John and Cindy, to know how to provide for themselves and others. She would teach them a particular project every summer from cooking, needlepoint, gardening, crochet, and many other hands on crafts that are slowing disappearing from our society today. Louise enjoyed her family trips to anywhere CASINO. She had her favorite vacation spots of camping in the states of California and Nevada. Her most favorite Chicken Spaghetti recipe will forever be held in the hearts of her family and friends. She passed on to her family the love of decorating for the Christmas Holidays with the many different Christmas tree themes in her home.

Her parents, Lee and Vera; her brother, Lewis Ross; all precede her in death.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William “Bill” Brent Colvin; her son, John Lewis Reavis; her daughter Cindy Louise Kuykendall and husband Jeffrey “Jeff” Brian Kuykendall; her five grandchildren, Wesley Kuykendall and husband, Eddie, Adam Clayton and wife MaRee, Heather Rogers and husband Reggie, Preston Dillard, and Allie Dillard; her three great-grandchildren, Bella Clayton, Benjamin Ross Clayton, and Cason Lee Dillard; and other relatives and close friends all survive Louise.
