Edward J. Janosky, 82, of Bryan passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 after a valiant battle with cancer. Edward was born on August 11, 1941. He was the only child of Edward and Lydia Hunka Janosky. Edward graduated from Holland High School as class Valedictorian in 1959. Ed furthered his education at The University of Texas at Austin, receiving a BBA in Accounting in 1963. In 1966, Edward met Joan Nowak and the two were married on June 3, 1967, in Bryan, Texas. This was a union that would last some 58 years. Edward was a member of First Methodist Church, Bryan, Texas, serving as the Church Treasurer for many years. Edward was employed by Texas A&M University for 31 years. He served as Budget and Payroll Services Manager, receiving the Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award in Staff/Administration in 1988. After retiring in 2000, Edward enjoyed family and church activities, traveling, and following Texas Longhorn sports, especially football.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Joan Janosky, his children, Alan Janosky of Warren, Michigan and Nancy Janosky Schnell of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Harrison Bowe, Chance Farnsworth, and Charlie Janosky brother-in-law, Jim Nowak, niece, Elizabeth Watson and her family, nephews James Nowak and Jason Nowak and his family. Edward was a gentle, caring person that will be greatly missed.

The family is honoring Edward’s wishes and having a private memorial service. Heartfelt thank you to The Manor, Bryan and Hospice Brazos Valley. Memorials may be made in Ed’s honor to First Methodist Church, Bryan or a charity of your choice.
