Earl Jones

Mr. Jones, 95, died Friday, June 10, 2022 in his home in College Station, Texas. He was a devoted husband and extraordinary father and talented musician.

Born in Milan, Michigan on January 25, 1927 to parents Edward Jones of St. Paul, Minnesota and Leah S. Johnson of Providence, Rhode Island. He was the youngest son of five boys.

Earl went to school in Milan, Michigan and later studied and graduated from school in Charlotte N.C. to become a Operating Engineer.

He married the love of his life Doris O. DeBose in November 1960. They had twins, John Earl Jones and a Daughter Jacqueline Ann Jones Taylor.

They lived in Michigan until 1974 then they moved to Hempstead, Texas. Mr. Jones worked for Spaw-Glass in Houston until he retired. He and his wife moved to College Station in the mid-1980s where they resided until his death on Jun 10, 2022.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Karl Jones, Donald J. Jones, True Benjamin Jones, and Edward Jones and his beloved wife Doris O. DeBose-Jones.

He is survived by his children, Son John Earl Jones, of Houston,Texas and Daughter Jacqueline Ann Jones Taylor and Son-in-law James E Taylor of Missouri City, Texas. Along with a host of nieces and nephews in Michigan and Canada.
