Donna Gayle Harris was born in Houston Texas to Robert John Dyer and Nancy Jeaton Dyer (Huff) and spent her early childhood years in Throckmorton Texas. This is where her fondest childhood memories came from, where she spoke of her grandparents and simple innocent days. She moved to Houston Texas where she did most of her schooling, before she became a mother of 3 children: Christopher Clements, Wesley Clements, and Jeaton Smith. However, the story goes she still had not found the one until she met Charles Harris in 1981. Best friends from the start, a love began that never ended. Until the day she passed, their love was so special and one of a kind. They spent their days loving concerts, any kind of water fun, camping, and their family.
Like her father, Donna was a very brave woman. When she wanted to do something, she simply did it. She and Charles opened a video store. She went back to school after her children were older and became a Phlebotomist where she worked for years in the hospital in La Grange Texas and then at Scott & White in Bryan/College Station. She headed back to self-employment and decided to open a deli. After the loss of her son Wesley, and dealing with addiction within our own family, her heart focused on others and she opened Any Time Analysis. Her hope was to one day maybe help someone else save their child if possible.
After the beginning of her heart trouble she did have to give up her strong run all day, taking care of everything, lifestyle and find a way to enjoy retirement. That she did; traveling and loving her family most of all! She got too little time to enjoy the beach, set sail on her beloved cruises, and travel, as she absolutely loved.
She is preceded in death by her father Robert John Dyer, son Wesley Dwayne Clements, sister-in-law’s Jamie Hogan and Deborah Harris, and brother-in-law’s Mark Harris and Roy harris
Loved by many survivors her husband Charles Harris, mother and step-father Nancy and Ray McNeil; step-mother Georgia Dyer, mother-in-law Elizabeth Harris, her children son Christopher Clements, daughter Jeaton and son-in-law Ryan Smith; grandchildren Miyah, Evan, and Ragan Smith; many loving siblings her Dyer family Ricky and Laura, Will and Cindy, Lance and Renee, Curtis, Robert, and Tammy; and her Harris family Lynn and Travis, Eric and Zena, Stephen and Carla, Terry and Tammy, Matilda, Ernie, and George
