Donald Wayne Foltermann

Donald Foltermann, 75, of Bryan, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30, Monday, September 6, 2021 at Parkway Baptist Church in College Station, officiated by Pastor Chris Snidow. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones, Bryan-College Station.

Donald Foltermann was born on September 12, 1945 to Otto and Selma Westerfeld Foltermann in Washington County, Texas. Don graduated from Burton, High School and worked for Lilly Dairy and later for Sherwin Williams in Bryan. He subsequently went to work for Chapman’s Paint and Decorating where he served the Bryan community for over 45 years. Shortly after high school, Don married a Caldwell girl one year his junior, Cynthia Kay Eubanks. Together, they raised two daughters. Don coached both of his daughters in softball. In addition to career and family life, Don served the Bryan community as a reserve police officer for over 35 years and was named Reserve Officer of the Year on a number of occasions. In his capacity as a reserve police officer, Don was honored to provide security for two Presidential Inaugurations. He also served the Brazos County Precinct 2 Constables’ Office. As an infant, Don was baptized in the Lutheran Church and later in life Don placed his faith in Jesus and he was baptized when he and Cynthia joined the body of believers at Parkway Baptist Church.

His parents and four siblings (Clarence, Bill, Christine, and Otto) all precede Don in death.

Don was a faithful and loving husband and he took great pride and joy in his daughters, his 6 grandchildren and had so much fun celebrating the arrival of 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cynthia Foltermann; his daughters and sons-in-laws, Kelly and Randy Lunsford, Kristin and Jamie Sells; his grandchildren, Jessica and husband Tyler Stone, Beth and husband Liam Hesterberg, Mark and wife Kendall Lunsford, Nathan and wife Courtney Lunsford, Nick and wife Sydney Lunsford, and Cody Sells; his great grandchildren, Travis, Reagan and Arthur Stone, Naomi Hesterberg, Laurel and Kate Lunsford, Kallum and Margo Lunsford; his brother-in-law John T. Eubanks, sister-in-law Julie Rowland, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harold and Jo Eubanks, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charlie and Julie Eubanks and his numerous nephews and nieces and other family members.

Honoring the life of Donald as Pallbearers are Mark Lunsford, Nathan Lunsford, Nick Lunsford, Cody Sells, Brad Rowland, and Colton Eubanks.
