Delia dela Torre-Nunez, 57, of Navasota, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 5pm with the rosary recited at 6:30pm, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the funeral center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am, Friday, July 22, 2022, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, in Navasota with the interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Delia was born to her parents, Lauriano and Luciana Rangel Hernandez in Mexico on September 9, 1964. She loved her family more than life itself. Delia was dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting her sister and family in Nacogdoches every chance she got. Delia had a passion for shopping. You could always count on her to know where the garage sales were and where the best thrift shops were in town.
Her parents and siblings, Maura Dela Torre, Tiburcio Dela Torre, and Lauriano Dela Torre, all precede her in death.
She is survived by her children, Robert and wife Yvette Dela Torre, Eduardo and wife Krystal Dela Torre, Juan and wife Teresa Nunez, and Delia Ruby Nunez; Juan Nunez, father of Juan and Delia; her twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her siblings, Victoria Dela Torre, Castula Dela Torre, and Javier Dela Torre; and other family and close friends.
