Coral Jeanne Gabaldon

Coral Jeanne Gabaldon, 67 of College Station, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023. She was born November 21, 1956 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Doris Jeanne (Gaussoin) and Tony Luna, Jr.

Coral is survived by her mother Doris Jeanne Luna, husband James Gabaldon of College Station, and son Andrew Steven Gabaldon of Austin. She is preceded in death by her father Tony Luna Jr., son James Michael Gabaldon, and infant daughter Lisa Jeanne Gabaldon. She is also survived by sisters Patricia Luna Chavez and spouse Frank of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Carla Luna Smith and her spouse Steve of Austin. Other surviving relatives include nieces Monica Syverson and her spouse Jon of Albuquerque; Tessa Fujimoto, her spouse Takeshi, and children Leo and Nina of Austin; and Kristen Smith of Dallas. She is preceded in death by niece Maria Chavez.

Coral graduated from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1974 and attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Her career included jobs in various schools as well as Texas A&M University. Coral loved to quilt, travel, and dogs.

Father Brian Eilers will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Coral at 12 noon on Friday, December 15, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.
