Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, Retired Colonel Charles “Chuck” E. Walters passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 81

Born on August 23, 1943, Chuck dedicated his life to service, and family. He enlisted in the Maryland National Guard in 1963 and rose through the ranks, ultimately retiring as a Colonel from the Army Reserves in 1996. In addition to his distinguished military career, he was a respected senior leader at Xerox Corporation, retiring in 2002.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Chuck found his greatest joy in his family. He cherished time spent with loved ones and had a deep passion for sailing, embracing the freedom and tranquility of the open water.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Diane; his three children, Amy Craig, Charles “Chuck” Walters II, and Chad Waters; and his sister, Carolyn. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a doting great-grandfather to four.
