Catherine Frances “Mitzi” Bardrick, 92 of College Station, Texas, formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her home in College Station. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., with the Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1820 North B Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Interment will follow immediately thereafter at Ft. Smith National Cemetery. Services are in the care of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith and Callaway-Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, Bryan-College Station, Texas.
Mitzi was born June 13, 1930, to Louis and Frances Bender of Ft. Smith. After graduating from St. Scholastica Academy in Ft. Smith, Mitzi married her forever love and father of her children, Thomas Elmer “T.E.” Bardrick of Ft. Smith, on January 12, 1951. They shared 71 years of Holy Matrimony welcoming four children to their blessed union: Suzanne, Michael, Chris and Carrie.
Mitzi is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Frances Bender, her husband Tom, her brothers Louis Bender, James Bender, Bob Bender and Eugene Bender, her sister Mary Helen Bradney and her great grandson, Grayson Bobo.
Her legacy continues through her children: her daughter Suzanne and her husband, Pat Gallagher; her son Michael Bardrick and his wife Michele; her son Christopher Bardrick and her daughter Carrie Slatton- Hodges and her husband Jay Hodges; her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.
