Carol Sue Foreman

Carol Foreman, 72, of Bryan, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5 to 7pm, Wednesday, January 18, 2023, and Funeral Service at 10:30am, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the funeral center. Interment will follow in Rest Ever Memorial Park. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Carol was born in Bryan, Texas on October 28, 1950, to her parents Charles and Agnes Gray Krueger. After graduating in 1969 from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan, Carol would attend nursing school at Blinn College where she completed her degree to become an LVN nurse and her career of 40 years would begin. She loved having garage sales with her mother and aunts through the years, and more recently her heart was geared toward animal rescues. Around her home, she was best known for her amazing lasagna and banana pudding.   There were always extra guests showing up when either of those two dishes were made.  Carol was a simple lady, and you always knew what her thoughts were, because she was not shy about expressing them, however her heart was filled with the love of delivering and caring for babies throughout her nursing years and ultimately enjoying her time with her sons and their families.

She worked for Dr. Harris’ private office off Texas Avenue until around 1980 when she moved to another office, which was a small division of St. Joseph Hospital, before securing a position at the main hospital in the main nursery and Labor and Delivery Department, where she worked the rest of her career until she retired in 2016.  She helped deliver and/or care for many of her own grandchildren that were born at St. Joseph Hospital along with many of her son’s friends’ children over the years.

She loved to travel with her son’s families on their vacations and attended every function involving them or her grandchildren if possible.  She also spent the last 20 years caring for her mother Agnes after her father Charles passed away in May 2002.  She loved animals and has taken in and cared for several over the years along with working with local animal rescue groups to find homes for strays or to return lost pets to their owners.  She loved the Astros baseball team.

Her parents, Charles, and Agnes Krueger; her sister and brother-in-law, Reba, and Robert Coleman, all precede her in death.

Carol is survived by her beloved three sons, Cody Foreman, Shawn and wife Michelle Foreman, and Dustin and wife Teri Foreman; her brother, Donald Cartwright; her six grandchildren, Maddie and husband Michael Vanantwerp, Patrick Foreman, Grayson, Karleigh Campbell, Hudson and Lyla; her other relatives and close friends especially her nursing family at CHI – St. Joseph Regional Health Care.

Honoring the life of Carol as Pallbearers are her family members Cody Foreman, Shawn Foreman, Dustin Foreman, Donavan Cartwright, Charlie Coleman, Grayson Foreman, and Hudson Foreman.
