Carol Jeannette Yohe

Carol Jeannette Yohe passed away at the age of 87 in Hearne, TX on February 23, 2024 after a battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Carol grew up in Marion, Indiana and graduated from Marion High School in 1954. She had a lengthy career as a telephone operator until she retired in the early 1990’s.

Carol was married for 62 years to Bennie Ray Yohe in 1957 until his death on March 10th, 2019.

Apart from her full time career, she was also dedicated to maintaining her home in top-notch condition, while raising her four children. She was an excellent mother, wife, sister, daughter, neighbor, friend, and overall human being. She was consistently a positive light, and was friendly to everyone she met. Carol loved to cook, sew, knit, and lend a hand to people in need. She loved crafting, and she was an avid reader. She was active in her church, and community throughout her life, constantly engaging in events that were geared towards helping others in need. Carol was a devout Christian, and she loved her bible study groups, and singing hymns to the Lord.

Carol is survived by her brother, Gary, by three of her four children, Leanna, Rhonda (Mike), and Brad (Staci), by six grandchildren, Cortney (Travis), Chad (Autumn), Destiny (Michael), Lyndsey (Rance), Andrew, and Ethan, and by six great grandchildren, Elliot, Bellamy, Elias, Caleb, Elise, and Aspen. Carol is also survived by two step-granddaughters, Lindsay and Michele (Rhonda and Mike), and their children, Dylan, Skylar, and Payton (Lindsay), and Blake (Michele).

Carol is preceded in death by her father (Robert), her mother (Lorene), her brother (Bob), her husband (Bennie), and her son (Bruce).

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
