Carol Torres, 60, of San Antonio, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Bryan. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, June 25, 2021 with her Life Tribute Celebration at 2 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021 both at the funeral center. Interment will follow in Bryan City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan – College Station.
Carol was born in Mathis, Texas on October 25, 1960 to Gregorio and Margarita Cruz De La Cruz. She had three boys Ricky, Ray, and Randy whom she cherished as her whole life. Her sons recall the passion Carol had for sports and sharing that with them as they grew. Carol was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys Football Team, she enjoyed watching the San Antonio Spurs plat. She also had a passion for Boxing in her spare time. Carol was involved with her sons as she would often take them on camping and fishing trips nurturing their love the great outdoors. Her most favorite pass time was watching her sons fishing around the various San Antonio lakes. She will be remembered most for her world-famous homemade tortillas with butter, always available in her kitchen with love. She was a Christian in faith and participated regularly in special love offerings to various church organizations of different denominations.
Her parents, Gregorio and Margarita; her sisters, Maria Soto and Delia Medina; her brothers, Erasmo De La Cruz, George De La Cruz, and Robert De La Cruz; her great grandson, Gaige Garza all precede Carol in death.
Her survivors include her sons, Ricky and wife Victoria Torres, Ray Torres and companion Sally Delfin, Randy and wife Victoria Torres; her brothers, Jesse De La Cruz, Margarito De La Cruz, and Eloy De La Cruz; her sisters, Estefana Navarro, Ester Riojas, and Delma Galindo; fifteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; her numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
Honoring Carol’s life as Pallbearers are Roy Aguirre, Ricky Torres Jr., Joseph Torres, Francisco Garza, David de Leon, Dennis James, Quincey White, and Roland Riojas.
