Briton Early “Bubba” McAlexander, aged 19, passed away on June 30, 2024, in Bryan, Texas. He was born on July 22, 2004, in College Station, Texas. Briton was the jovial and charismatic fourth child of Gerald and Christa McAlexander’s eight children.
Growing up, Briton spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. He would play on Gameboys, tend to the cows, and pick vegetables in the garden. They took trips to Waco where they frequented the Mayborn Museum and the Water Park. Coming from a baseball family, he played for a few years at Harvey Little League. Briton had a love for movies and television shows, he quoted lines he enjoyed, Shrek being one of them. In Middle school he discovered his love for theatre. He participated in numerous plays, including Beauty and the Beast.
Briton was a 2022 graduate of James Earl Rudder High School. He spent 3 years as the equipment manager of the Rudder baseball team. He was involved in the school’s criminal Justice program; he was a part of the school’s first ever SkillsUSA competition team. Briton started working for Subway his senior year of high school as a sandwich artist.
After graduation he worked alongside of his uncle Phillip at HillTop Home Services in Navasota, TX as a handyman apprentice. Briton followed the business to Utopia, TX, in 2023 where he continued his apprenticeship. In April 2024, he returned to Bryan, to work for Seamless Home Products alongside his brother Christian, until the time of his passing. He began learning the skill of installing seamless gutters, how to put on a ball hitch and yet never learned how to correctly operate a motor vehicle.
Briton is survived by his parents, Gerald and Christa McAlexander; sisters and brother in law’s, Krista and Zach Moreland, Madison and Justin Benn; brothers Christian McAlexander, Chance McAlexander, Broden McAlexander, Chase McAlexander, and baby sister, Mila McAlexander; two nieces and two nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a plethora of family and friends.
Briton’s hobbies included spending quality time with his siblings and using his wit and charm to fill their gatherings with laughter. His presence brought light and joy to every family event. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, and the effortless way he made everyone feel like they mattered. His legacy will continue to inspire and influence all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Memorial Services will be held at 10am at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home, with interment at Steep Hollow Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life Meal at Central Baptist Church.
