Brian L. “Bear” Drummond was born in St. Andrews Scotland on October 18th, 1967 to Thomas and Janet Drummond (nee Feechan). He grew up in Fife and after every adventure as an adult he always returned home to his family and many friends there. A few of those adventures included him being a member of the Army Cadets and a member of The Black Watch, Highland Division. He loved to dance and he loved fast cars. If you have met him then you’ve heard the many stories because nothing made him happier than a cold pint and a good chinwag. In 2013 he married Darby Archer and moved to Texas where he worked for GunCorp as he pursued a lifelong passion for building firearms, Winslow Body Shop, and Accurate Machine Works. He became a member of the World War I reenactment group, The Black Watch, 1st Battalion, Company C which quickly became a beloved pastime for him. He said that he felt like he had been blessed with two lives, the first half of his life in Scotland and the second half in Texas. It should be no surprise to anyone who knew him that in Texas he made just as many friends as he had back home in Scotland. He never met a stranger and he never passed up an opportunity to lend a hand, he was truly a hero at heart.
He is survived by his wife Darby Drummond, Stepdaughter Dana Herrington, Step-Granddaughter Aurora DeLeon, Daughters Briony and Lia Drummond, Brother Eric Drummond and Wife Pauline, Nephew Thomas Drummond, Sister Patricia Steven, Nieces Kelsey, Kayla, Willow, and Piper Steven and many family members, friends, and workmates -who became extended family, that will miss him deeply.
