Brenda Black Ingram, age 70, was called to her heavenly home on January 12, 2021. Brenda passed away at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Merkel, Texas on July 27, 1950 to Edward and Robbie Black. She was the youngest of 5 children and per her, she was each and every one of their favorite sister. She was a housewife and mother, but her greatest blessing was being a Nana to her grand-children. Anyone that would listen, she would tell them about how proud she was of her daughters and her grandchildren.
Brenda is survived by her daughters, Laura Gilleland and husband Scott of Bryan, Texas; Leslie Luhn and husband Tommy of Franklin, Tx.; grandsons, Tyler Rudasill and wife Megan; Joshua Rudasill, Hayden Luhn and Hunter Luhn; granddaughter, Emma Gilleland; 2 great-granddaughters, Rylee and Zoey Rudasill. She is survived by her sister, Janet Porter of Abilene, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nora Black of Clyde, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Ron Schmidt of Bryan, Texas. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Robbie Black; sister, Kay Ledbetter; grand-daughter Madison Luhn; and nieces, Kim Akers and Brenda Ledbetter.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony is planned for 2pm on Saturday January, 23, 2021 at the home of Scott and Laura Gilleland, 7844 Lakecrest Court, Bryan, TX. 77808. We ask that you bring to the celebration your favorite memory or story of Brenda – we know there will be many because she was a person that no one will ever forget.
Her family would like to thank everyone for the food, their support, and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Brazos Valley.
