Bobby Glenn Hudson of Edge, Texas died peacefully in his home, according to his wishes, January 31, 2024.
Bobby was born in Wynne, Arkansas October 1, 1939 to Joe Ray Hudson and Mozella Brown Hudson. He and his family moved to the Houston area in the 40s. Bobby was a 1959 graduate of Humble High School where he was the first male cheerleader in the school’s history.
He married Elizabeth Ann Borski February 3, 1962. They raised three children, remaining married until Liz’s death in 2023.
Bobby led a life full of adventure. He enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, fishing, hunting, model As, building and collecting spurs, repairing old wagons, making copper roses and painting.
He has traveled to nearly every state, Brazil and Australia through his work. He has done everything from soda jerk, gas station owner, feed store owner, feed and chemical sales, farming, ranching, gold mining, millwright, pipe fitter, oilfield, heavy equipment operator, and safety superintendent.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Ralph Hudson, his son-in-law, Troy Bennett, and his wife. He is survived by his son Robin Hudson (Necie) and daughters, Lisa Bennett and Tonya Roberts (Rocky); grandchildren Lane Hudson (Amber), Clayton Hudson, Megan Bennett, Brandon Bennett (Alexa), Riley Roberts (Emalee), Rori and Retta Roberts; great grandchildren Garrett and Grace Lynn Hudson, Briggs Bennett, and Lanee Roberts.
A memorial service will be held February 17, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Kurten Community Center in Kurten, Texas.
