Bobby Dale Stapler

Bobby Dale Stapler, 69 of Bryan passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:30 am at Kurten Cemetery.

Bobby Dale Stapler was born on July 11, 1953 in Monahans, TX to Jim Bob and Martha Stapler. The family later moved to Bryan, TX, where Bobby graduated from Bryan High School in 1973.

Shortly after graduating, Bobby began his career at Texas A&M University in the Poultry Science Department. He worked there for almost 20 years before retiring.

In his younger years, Bobby loved going bowling, watching WWE wrestling, and enjoying late night snacks at Taco Bell. His love of sports grew as he got older as he was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves fan. He also enjoyed watching any sporting event of the University of Texas Longhorns.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Bob and Martha Stapler and his brother-in-law, James Paholek.

He is survived by his loving sister, Linda Paholek, who always visited bringing his favorite candy bars, peanuts, and Dr. Peppers. He is also survived by his nieces, Tana Bestor and husband, Todd and Sara Mendez, and husband, Jesse and his two great nephews, Josh Bestor and Devin Mendez.

The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Lampstand Nursing and Rehabilitation and Magnified Nursing and Rehabilitation for taking care of Bobby for many years and treating him like family.
