Bobbie Mae Claypoole

September 6, 1949 — January 3, 2024

Bobbie was born on 17 September 1949 in Bell County, second of two daughters to James Robert “Bobby” and Inez Zelma (Jones) Bowers. She was raised in Caldwell, Tx and graduated from Caldwell High School. On 09 September 1998, she married Dale Claypoole, whom she would spend many cross-country road trips creating memories for the next 25 years. Bobbie enjoyed photography, gardening, sewing, traveling, but most importantly being with her family.

Bobbie fought many bouts with cancer throughout her life, never giving in or giving up until the evening of 03 January 2024. Words to describe her would be stubborn, but loving, fighter, but caring, quiet, but got her point across. Those that knew her, knew that she was a friend and always dependable. Bobbie was a loving wife, sister, Aunt, friend, but to me she was Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Inez Bowers and Sister Peggy Diver.

Surviving are her husband Dale Claypoole, Two sons James Speer of Lake Limestone and Brian Speer of Schertz; Daughter Amanda (Speer) Rushing of Bryan; Three step-sons Dale B. Claypoole of Bryan, John Claypoole of Bryan, and Charles Claypoole, 11 grand children an one great grand daughter on the way.
