Billie Jo Billington

Billie Billington, 84, of Bryan, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Bryan, Texas. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10 to 11am, at Kornerstone Funeral Home in Plainview, Texas, with her funeral service immediately following. Interment will be at 12:30pm following the funeral service at the Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station, Texas.

Billie was born to Olin and Leona Sykes, in Petersburg, Texas. She graduated from Plainview High school in 1959 where she participated on the varsity volleyball team. She met her husband of 58 years, Ted, at the movie theatre in Plainview where she worked. They were married on January 22, 1960 and grew a family of three children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Billie worked as an artist for many years and her beautiful artwork including oil paintings of windmills and bluebonnet mailboxes can be seen throughout the states of Texas and New Mexico. She loved to travel with her husband and family, especially to Las Vegas, and to attend sporting and school events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Ted; her parents, Olin and Leona Sykes; her brother Elvin Sykes; her son-in-law Bert Ferrante; and her precious great-granddaughter, Mia Williams; precede Billie in death.

She is survived by her children Teddi Ferrante, Brian Billington and wife Cynthia, and Jill Borowiec and husband Jeff; her grandchildren Allison and husband J.P., Lindsay and husband Jay, Brandon, Jackson, and Madeline; her great-grandchildren Daphney, Sabastian, and Westley; her brother Jack Sykes, of Austin; her sister, Polly Varner, of Plainview; and other relatives.

Billie was an amazingly kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
