Barbara Jean Price (Snyder), age 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died on January 28, 2024 in Bryan-College Station, Texas. She was born on May 28, 1932 in Mineola, Texas to the late Hubert and Clemie Fay Snyder (Craver). All her friends and family called her Jean.
After growing up in Mineola, Jean attended Tyler Junior College where she was an Apache Belle. Here she met her husband, Jack Price, and after they married they moved to College Station where they lived for over 60 years. Jean was an executive assistant at University National Bank and A&M United Methodist Church and later a real estate broker. She loved God and was a member of the A&M United Methodist Church.
Jean enjoyed the everyday moments of life. She took notice and appreciated the birds, squirrels, sunshine and flowers. Jean enjoyed gardening, quilting, traveling overseas, and hosting friends and family in her home. She was a very talented seamstress. She loved her family and delighted in writing notes, entertaining her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and ensuring everyone was cared for. She had a true talent for making others feel special. Jean focused on the positive in every person and situation. She approached the adventures and challenges of life with patience, grace, and confidence.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Dean Price and brothers Hubert Snyder Jr. and Bobby Ray Snyder. She is survived by her children: Jack Price Jr., Cynthia Parker, and Carla Duffard; daughter-in law: Pamela Price (Watt); five grandchildren: Lauren Price Smith, Evan Price, Diane Duffard, Megan Cangelose (Duffard), and Jordan Duffard; six great-grandchildren: Audrey Jean Smith, Vincent Smith, Juniper Price, Finley Price, Hudson Cangelose, and Avery Cangelose; and many extended family members and friends.
