Aubrey Gene Ferguson

Aubrey Gene Ferguson, 71, of College Station, TX, was born on July 9, 1953, in Pasadena, Texas, to Elbert and Myrtle Ferguson. A proud graduate of Silsbee High School, Aubrey led a life rich in passion and dedication. He retired from a fulfilling career in the railroad industry and spent many years in land development and ranching, where his love for the outdoors thrived. Aubrey was also deeply devoted to riding and training quarter horses, a pursuit that brought him immense joy.

He peacefully departed this life on September 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Aubrey was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert James Ferguson and Myrtle Louise Young.

He is survived by his four beloved children: Christel Loftus, Jennifer Lea, Stephanie McCalley, and Jacqueline Artaza. Aubrey also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Jocelyn and Gracen Loftus, Madeline and Emma Lea, Sterling McCalley, and Jack, Claire, and Luke Dobbs. He is further survived by his three devoted siblings: James Ferguson, Martha Fields, and Wanda Lapham, along with their families. Aubrey’s extended family includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember him fondly.

A service to honor his memory will be held at College Station Memorial Cemetery, College Station, Texas, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
