Annie Louise Rust

Annie “Louise” Pillow Rust was born April 20, 1927 to Lee and Lydia Russell Pillow.  She attended Lyons and Somerville schools and was a member of the Lyons Baptist Church.  Louise was a lifelong resident of Burleson County.  She married Melvin F. Rust in 1946 and they spent 60years living in Lyons, TX.

She was a devoted housewife and mother who enjoyed gardening, canning her vegetables and had a love of cooking for her family.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Fred Rust; her parents, Lee and Lydia Pillow; siblings James Edward Pillow, Thelma Schoenberg, Elaine Schoppe, and Mavis Ganske; nephews James K. Shoppe and Jack Wayne Neimeyer; Nieces Billy Sue Surovik, and Linda June Supak.

Louise is survived by her son Dr. Ronald Melvin Rust and wife Candy of Bryan, TX.  Grandsons; Erik J. Rust and Justin S. Rust along with wife Jennifer and great grandchildren Barron and Jacklyn Rust, all of Bryan, TX.  Nieces Maxine Ruether and Diane Ganske both of Brenham, TX.

She will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville, TX with a private graveside service.  Funeral arrangements are by Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center.  You can view her online memorial at callawayjones.com
