Amelia Ramos, 86, of Bryan, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 5pm with the rosary recited at 6:30pm, Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at the funeral center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband Juan Romas in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, Bryan-College Station.
Amelia was born in Gonzales, Texas to Catarino and Suzanna Guevara on September 16, 1936. Amelia was very outgoing and loved by all. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. She loved to bbq and enjoyed the company of her friends and family. A few things she loved were to go for a cruise and sing, drink coffee and to call and check on all her grandchildren and great grandchildren even if it was a 30 second conversation.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 42 years, Juan Fuentes Ramos Sr., her son John David Ramos , her daughter-in-law, Annette Ramos, her grandsons, John (Johnboy) Ramos III and Rupert (Peanut) Perez Jr. and her ten siblings.
Amelia is survived by her children and their families whom she adored, John Ramos Jr., Rosie and husband Ruben Arredondo, Rubin Ramos and partner David Stanley, Betty and husband Abraham Cavazos, and Jennifer Ramos; her eighteen grandchildren and fifty great-grandchildren; and other relatives and close friends.
