Althea Smith Jenkins-Perry

Althea Jenkins-Perry, 62, of Bryan, entered her eternal rest on Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 5pm with Life Tribute Celebration Service at 6pm, Sunday, August 28, 2022, both at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, 3001 South College Avenue. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

Althea was born in Houston to her parents on February 16, 1960. At the age of 18 she graduated as part of the Varsity Queen Candidate for volley ball from Angleton High School. She was a dedicated and hardworking lady and soon found a love for driving. Her spark for driving started shortly after she got her CDL, where she made her way around the country truck driving. For the next 30 + years Althea resided in Bryan raising her son Kaleb. In the most recent years Althea continued her love for driving through different transportation services, where she could make her own schedule and work at night. The greatest achievement in life was being the mom of her son, Kaleb.

The relationship Althea and Kaleb had was epic and adventurous. They enjoyed life together as if they were best of friends. Alongside of the love Althea had for her son Kaleb, she was also known for her love and compassion toward her son’s friends as if they were her own.

Althea is survived by her son Kaleb Jenkins; extended family and close friends.
