Alicia M. Caudillo

February 25, 1928 — March 14, 2024

Alicia M. Caudillo went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2024. Visitation and Rosary will be at Callaway-Jones Funeral & Cremation Center on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Funeral Service will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale, Houston, TX.

She was born on February 25, 1928 in Laredo, Texas to Maria Jesuscita and Juan Medina. She was the second born of 10 siblings. She learned to care for her family at a very young age.

Alicia’s family moved to the Houston area where she later attended cosmetology. She worked as a beautician for several years. She later married Mr. Victor Caudillo ll, and had two sons, Victor and Albert. She worked alongside her husband in the family business. They decided to move the family and business to Bryan/College Station. Alicia and Victor would later divorce in 1985, and her son Albert took over the family business and she continued to work alongside her son as a seamstress.

Alicia was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas and an original member of the Women’s Guild when the church first opened in 1982. She loved her church. She would make custom bibs for Baptisms, help make rope rosaries, and where she did adoration once a week. Alicia also donated a statue of Mother Mary, which is located outside on the church grounds. She loved baking cookies, sewing, crocheting, and many other little projects. In the community, she volunteered as an auxiliary lady at Still Creek Ranch, mentored at Weight Watchers, and volunteered her time at the Salvation Army in downtown Bryan.

We take comfort that she is reunited in Heaven with her sons, Victor and Albert; with her siblings, Ignacia, Maria Ana, Marina, John, Mary, Daniel, and Amelia. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister Carmen Castille, brother Raymond Medina, and numerous nieces and nephews.
