Zack Haveron, 59, of Bryan, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020, in Bryan. Visitation will begin at 1 pm until the time of service at 2:30 pm, Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rest Ever Memorial Park, Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Robert Dale Haveron, better known as Zack, was born on August 29, 1960 in Bryan to Bob and Nita Tullous Haveron. Zack was one of seven children born to his parents. A dedicated husband and family man, he was the heart beat of the family. After high school he put his best foot forward in beginning his family, marred Mary Suzanne Maddox, his forever love. She and Zack were blessed with six children in this marriage. Zack was a true soul of Brazos County and loved everything about his hometown of Bryan. He was employed with Brazos Valley Lumber a few years, then moved on to Furrow’s Building Supplies, and McCoy’s Lumber Supply the last 18 years. His career was about serving others with various projects either commercial or residential.
He was the true essence of the family man; he loved cooking and trying new recipes for the family to enjoy. He researched the web for new recipes to make sure he always had something new and different for his family and friends. He loved being outside and making sure his yard was perfect. He always mowed the yard for everyone to enjoy. He was adventurous and loved riding his motorcycle. He would take long road trips just to be outside, no destination scheduled just ride. Zack was able to find something good in every place he would travel to, so no trip was ever bad. He was the “King of Comedy” for the household always, always playing jokes on the entire family. Zack’s love of his motorcycle was beyond his family, he would offer rides to friends of his church family just so they could too could have the experience of being on a motor cycle at least once in their life time.
His parents, Bob and Nita; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Holliday, all precede him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Suzanne Haveron; Michael Gideon – his other wife; his sons, Adam Haveron and fiancée Kristin Vierus , Isaiah Haveron and Kenzley Haveron; his daughters, Tara Brooks and Carlos Brooks, Lauren and husband John Maldonado Jr., and Kayleigh Haveron; his brother, Aaron and wife Tonya Haveron; his sisters, Marlene Holliday, Gaylen Haveron, Tammy and husband Bruce Boller, Lisa and husband George Evans, and Julie Mullins; his six grandchildren, Hayden, Jadyn, Ryleigh, Kaysen, Mattix, and Oliver; his father and mother-in-law, Elbert and Edith Maddox; his extended family and close friends.

I recall Grandma Haveron always talking about cousin Zack as he was growing up. I think he reminded her so much of his Dad. I last saw Zack at my moms funeral last November. It was enjoyable to catch up on things as we had not seen each other in a while. I don’t think he ever met a stranger. He was outgoing and a loving Husband and Father..
I did not know Zack’s family but want them to know that I had much respect for Zack. I’d know him for over 20 years and dealt with him at McCoy’s all the time. He was one of my go to sales persons because I knew he would take care of anything I needed and I knew I could count on him to follow up. I will miss working with him. He was a great man. Danny nailed it. I big reason I did most of my business at Furrow’s and now McCoys is because of Zack and Mike. RIP brother.
Be watching for me, Zack, when I make it to Heaven. I will always have you in my heart. <3

I had to read the eulogy twice when I saw your name. Now it all makes sense! Praying for your loss my friend. Mccoys is lucky to have had you both behind the same counter.
Thank you, James. Both sides of the family called me that. There will probably be some giggles when that is read at the funeral.
I have known Zack as long as I can remember. I recall as a kid hanging on to my dad’s hand at Furrows, hearing Zack’s voice and watching him take care of his customers. As a teenager, I recall paying him money for gas or having a flat tire repaired at Pete’s Exxon where he worked in the evenings. Flash forward 30 years and that same voice, the same friendliness and the same commitment to those he served was still present. I never interacted with him a single time where I felt like my inquiries were not the most important thing on his (long) list. It never failed, if someone wasn’t sure they knew Zack at Mccoys, you could follow it up by your friendliest and thickest country accent and that’s when it clicked. They indeed had met Zack. He will be dearly missed. If we could all imitate even the slightest bit of friendliness Zack showed to each stranger he met, this world would be much better for it. Your family is in our prayers.
I’m at a loss for words cuz if you can believe that. You will be sadly missed by all of us but I know your In a better place. I told your miss Susie thst if she needed anything I got your back around the house stuff to do. May you Rest In Peace cuz!!!!

I have known Zack for as long as I can remember. I recall as a young boy meeting Zack behind the counter while at Furrows with my dad. Then as a teenager I would run into him at Pete’S Exxon where he would take my payment for gas or fix a flat tire. 30 years later he is assisting me with an inquiry I have while at Mccoys. His friendly demeanor never changed. His customer service was ALWAYS top notch. Even though he may be serving many customers at a time, he made you feel like your needs were at the top of his list. His friendliest of greetings will be missed. If someone wasn’t sure if they had dealt with Zack at Mccoys, you could follow it up with with your friendliest and thickest country impression of Zack and indeed, they had met Zack. If everyone had even a sliver of the kindness Zack showed to a stranger, the world would be better for it. I will miss seeing him and I am praying for his family and friends during this difficult time. Godspeed my friend.
I pray that God comfort you all and help you to find peace. Zach will live on in the precious memories that you and your family have created. He is now at peace. He will not know pain, suffering, hunger, thirst or sickness. God bless you Zachary Haveron!
