Wilton Walter Kullenberg Jr. passed away on September 27, 2023 due to a car accident. He was born on March 17, 1953 to Wilton Walter Kullenberg Sr. and Joan Holland Gibbs in Austin, Texas.

Wilton was retired from Texas A&M University and was a long-time member of AA. He loved the outdoors, gardening, music and bonfires.

Proceeding him in death were his parents and a brother John Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife, Patti McAdams Kullenberg and their daughter Sara Kullenberg. His daughters, Jennifer Kullenberg Guajardo and husband Josh, and daughter Hayley Guajardo. Misty Kullenberg Stapp and husband Will, and daughter Gracie Stapp. The mother of Misty and Jennifer, Becky Wells. Step-children, Niki McAdams, Casey Keith, and Gabriel Keith. Brothers Ronnie Gibbs and Regan Gibbs.

Wilton is in the care of Callaway Jones Funeral Center, Bryan, Texas. Services pending at this time and will be announced at a later date.

  2. Walter and I were good friends when he lived in Gainesville, Ga. We had many good times back in the 70s. My prayers for the family. God speed old friend!

  3. God bless the family but mostly his many friends he met along his journey in life. He was my best friend since High School & was driving to my home here in Navarre, FL when this tragedy occurred. He was coming to spend time with me. We kept up with each other for over 50 years & phoned each other frequently damnit! He had a genuine big heart helping those less fortunate. You will be missed. I’ll be seeing you on the other side so we will meet the next time. I love & miss us talking about the old days my Brother. . You were the best friend I had the pleasure of knowing. Rest easy now friend.
