William “Red” Adell Hennard, Sr., 76, of Concord, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in Bryan, Texas.

Red was born on September 14, 1945, in Jewett, Texas to Willie G. & Dollie Rissie (Cox) Hennard and lived most of his life in Leon County, Texas. He married Frankie Jean Moon on February 1, 1964, and together they shared a lifetime of memories in their marriage of over 57 years. Red had a passion for many things including gardening, raising all types of animals, fishing and hunting, fixing and building things, playing dominoes and wahoo, and carrying on lively conversation; but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Red worked for Nucor Steel in Jewett for almost 20 years, ending his career there as maintenance supervisor.

Red was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer; parents Willie & Dollie; brothers Bud, Larry, and Donnie; and sisters JoBell and Patricia. He is survived by his wife Frankie; son William “Bubba” Hennard, Jr. & wife, Amy, of College Station; daughters Martha Hennard of Concord and Wendy & husband, Kevin Warren, of Jewett; grandsons Cody Hammock & wife, Katrina, of Clarksville, Arkansas, Ricky Ashley, and Memphis Warren; granddaughters Alyssa Hennard, Amanda Hennard, and Dalis Warren; great-grandchildren Ely and Emberly Hammock; brother Garry Hennard of Concord; sister Rosie Piper of Roan Mountain, Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Red will be missed by all who knew him.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held October 23, 2021, at 12:00 PM at the Hennard residence – 11886 Highway 7 West, Marquez, Texas 77865, weather permitting. Condolences can be expressed at CallawayJones.com.
