William L. “Bill” Wade, 80, passed away Friday June 17, 2022, after a long battle with kidney failure. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Center and there are no public services planned at this time.
Bill was born January 18, 1942, in Bryan, Texas, to D.E. and Clara Wade. Bill was a Detective Sergeant with Texas A&M University until he retired after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ronald Wade, sister Peggy Fuqua, brother-in-law Jerry Gilmore, and sister-in-law Wanda Gilmore Keeling.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Sara Gilmore Wade, and his son David L. Wade and wife Barb; grandson Will Wade and wife Kasey; granddaughters Brittany Bullock, and Jolene Wegner and husband Mike; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Sara I am so sorry to hear about Bill. He was a great guy. I guess now we will have Bill and Joy looking after us.
Sara, so sad to hear about Bill. He was a good co-worker with a since of humor. Be assured, Bill is resting in peace and smiling at us all. He is still within our hearts.
